Default Samsung LN55A950. IDEAS PLEASE!???

Brand new to the market and I want to know what your thoughts are. The contrast ratio is said to be at a mind blowing 2,000,000:1. (the specs on the link do not agree but a samsung rep and 2 retailing sites do. The LN46A950 specs are shown correctly (2mil:1))... I'm looking to get a new TV and a 55" is just about right for me. So please, shoot it down if you must or give your blessings
