Default Best Movie of the Summer

Ok this is a thread for you to explain which movie you thought was THE best overall movie of the summer. It doesnt matter if its a comedy or animated movie, just because they dont have a dead actor playing the Joker doesnt mean they cant be the best. Vote for the movie YOU truly think is the best, and not what the crowd is choosing. I will keep the poll anonymous so you dont have to be scared of your name being brought up if you like lets say "Meet Dave." In my opinion the best action movie was Iron Man the best animated movie was Wall E and the best comedy was Pineapple Express with the best OVERALL movie being Pineapple Express. Now I realize there are still a few movies coming this summer (august) like Sisterhood 2 and Tropic Thunder, so if you seriously think some of these will be the best movie of the summer, then dont vote yet, its simple as that. over all i'd have to say that i want to believe is my favorite, but then i'm a huge fan and really haven't been this geeked out in 10 years. i don't know if it's my favorite action movie because i don't know if i'd categorize it as an action film. but then i'm not really sure what to categorize it as. as for comedy i can't say as i have yet to see pineapple express or step brothers so i'll wait. wall-e though is my favorite animated film. although it's the only one i've seen.

Haha well it was inevitable but lasted a while. Like 10 minutes?

9 minutes and 59 seconds longer. TDK fanboys usually smell a "was TDK better than...." poll and are here right away and vote against it.

I say it is a toss up between TDK and Pineapple Express. One is all you could ever want in a Batman movie and the other is the funniest movie ever. I voted for TDK, though.

I've got to say Speed Racer. It was a visually stunning movie, a great soundtrack, I enjoyed the plot, I felt that I got my moneys worth because it wasn't a short 90 minute movie. All in all, for me, a phenominal movie.

that one's high on my list too. i really thought it was done well. it's definitely in my top five for the year. and maybe top three by the end of it all. speed racer is just that rare film that hardly gets made and i love it all the more for it.

Its a joke, check it out on HDD and you'll see. And if you have read my statements I hate the attention a dead guy gets for a role that was overrated imo
