Default Klipsch question

Well I was slumming around Best Buy today - and noticed they had the RF-62's on clearance. I scored two of them for $199.99 a piece. I couldn't resist!

Now I need to get a matching center channel...but I'm a bit confused as to what the proper center channel speaker(s) is(are) to pair with the RF-62s.

Here's a pic of my new babies.....

......and yes I know they aren't properly placed!

Edit - Until I looked at this pic I just took I didn't realize how badly I need to dust things off! Please exucse the dust - I'm blaming it on Hurricane Ike.

Arush... if you go to Klipsch's website you can look at all their product lines... the matching center channel to those floorstanders is the RC-62...

http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rc-62.aspx

I own a 5.1 set of the Klipsch 62 line with the rw-10d subwoofer. Very pleased with them.

Thanks! Now I just need to find someplace that still has the RC-62s, without costing me an arm and a leg.

I know a lot of people dont like it... but if you can find a reliable buyer on eBay... you can save a lot of money. I completed my 62 line with rear bookshelves from eBay because I couldnt find them in a local store.

I got them from an ebay store called AVB direct.... the product was in great shape and had no sign of ever being opened.

What's the difference between the -35, -52 and -62?

The Klipsch website is your best friend... this page has all of their center channels:

http://www.klipsch.com/products/lists/center.aspx

Simply click on the seperate speakers to look at their specs and compare...

The main difference is the higher line you go to, the greater the specs like max power handling etc. For example, the RC-52 has 125w max power handling, while the 62 has 150w max power handling.

Also the RC-52 uses 5 inch drivers, the 35 and 62 use 6 inch drivers and thus have a significantly larger cabinet and produce a great range of frequency

if possible go with the 62 center, the 35, although quite close to the fronts you have, are using 6 inch drivers, and may not catch up with your fronts.

if the search yields no favorable response, you can have the 35s instead. but dont 'settle' so to speak.

vanns has em for $499.95 ( a little higher than current cost in a retail store, but remember, they dont charge shipping, nor tax depending on your location )

here

i cant see the victoria's secret details... filter dwarves at work

If i'm not mistaken, I think the rc-62 was the first to have each of the two woofers set at different crossovers, to avoid lobing. Not sure if previous models have that distinction, but i know the 62 does.

+1 on Ebay. They have tons of Klipsch NOS for sale. I see the RC-62 going for about $275-300 plus shipping.

Weeeelllll.....actually.....

I never have flashes going off in my living room, aside from me taking pictures of my equipment - so that's actually the first time i've ever seen glare on that TV! Thankfully, I bought a Panasonic plasma that has an anti-glare screen....So I can watch it's picture in all it's glory at nearly any viewing angle.
