Default Klipsch question

I just have a quick question about my klipsch surround speakers. On the rear left there is sometimes what seems like crackling. I turn the volume up louder to give the speaker more of a "workout" and it seems to go away. do these new speakers just need to be completelt broken in or is this normal. speakers r not blown. just some low volume crackle ive heard like 2 times. thanks guys

which model, does it seem to be the horn or the woofer.

My guess is that you just aren't hearing it when the volume goes up. Try switching it to another channel and check your connections for a better evaluation.

i had this happen before. Reseated my wires and it went away. You might have a loose connection somehwhere.

Whichever side of the "speaker break-in" argument you're on, there's no way you should be hearing any crackling just because the speaker is new. As mentioned, double check your connections at the speakers and the receiver. Make sure they're seated tightly.

Speaker break-in to the extend of making the crackling go away is voodoo science. At most, you need less than an hour to break in a new speaker/subwoofer. The human brain needs much more time to adjust and get used to the sound of the new speakers.

If your speaker is crackling, it means there is a problem somewhere. If it is under warranty, get it replaced or repaired. If the warranty has expired, you need to open it up and see if something is loose. If nothing is loose, it probably means your speaker has a bad driver.

i looked around back and there was a bad connection. i accidentally put the tip of the monster cable too far into the port so the twist would tighten all the way

I'm glad to hear you got it straightened out and that it was something simple.
