Default Newb in everyway firmware 4.10

I have downloaded the firmware 4.10 and have the ISO file sitting on my desktop.

I have windows media player. Is this the device needed to burn a copy of the firmware?

I try to drag the file into the playlist- nothing.

I know not to comvert it to a data file.

What am I not getting - grrrrrrrrrrr

Stuck- please help me unstuck

Welcome to the board.

An .iso filoe is a disc image. There's no conversion to do and you definitely don't want media player doing anything with the file. You just need a CD mastering/burning program to properly write the disc from the image file.

This page gives you basic directions for the main two software packages you may own (Nero and Roxio) as well as 2 additional freeware options along with directions. If you need any further help post back with what program you are trying to use and we can help.

I always use Nero. I've been using it for YEARS and have never had any problems at all. It is a very simple process.

daemon tools can be used without burning, it mounts the .iso as a virtual drive and is able to run it off the HD with no issues...
