Default simultaneous audio output via HDMI and SP/DIF?

Hello,

is there any player (including forthcoming) that can:

1. decode Dolby True HD and DTS HD-MA
2. output PCM via HDMI, and a lossy track (DD or DTS) at the same time?

Is #2 even possible?

Thanks,

Joe

Why would you want PCM and a lossy track at the same time?

Investigating the use of D-Box, which I don't believe can sync with a PCM track. Hence the need for lossy.

I can always turn it up to 11, can't I?

No, this is in regards to D-Box.

The makers of motion simulation products (standalone chairs, platforms, etc.) that sync with the action on screen.

I believe D-Box takes the subwoofer feed that comes out of your receiver and uses that signal to sync with its controller. Basically you split your sub signal between the sub and D-Box controller.

D-BOX is way more than just a feed of the sub. Motion Designers actually encode a seperate track for each movies (over 800 done so far). I've been told that a Die Hard IV took over 240 hours to create. I just watched Iron Man with D-BOX last night, Wow! This is by far the best addition to my Home theatre I've done.

this gives you some more info:

To answer your question Panasonic BD-30 and BD-50 can send the audio signal on both HDMI and SPDIF which allow you to enjoy the best of both world. (I have the BD-30 and it works great).

Thanks JonnyB. That's the answer I was looking for.

Cheers!
