Default Quarantine

Anyone else seen this trailer for Tarantino's new work? I know it's a remake of [Rec], but holy crap I had to turn on the lights after watching the trailer.

I didn't see Tarantino's name on this anywhere?

It seems to be filmed Blair Witch style.

You might be right. I'm not sure where I read that at, but maybe I was grouping things together because now I can't find his name attached to it. Woops.....

Reglardless, it looks scary as hell.

it's probably another government zombie virus making movie. I'm kind of sick and tired of these cliche'd movies.

I have seen [rec] and from the trailer this looks to be a shot for shot remake. If you have not seen the trailer for Quarantine, DONT. They give away alot.

I'm not even sure if this film is about some zombie virus, but originality in the genre is wearing thin. That's why I hope somebody turns Max Brooks' book "World War Z" into a feature film. Great story with a lot of memorable moments. Would revive the genre for sure.

It's about people with rabies who were quarantined.

It's not a QT movie, but I want to see it! I hate hollywood films most of the time, but i'm a sucker for a zombie flick. even if it's trash.

The trailer looks good.

I love Jennifer Carpenter. She is a great actress, I'm so incredibly excited for it to be released!

Wonder if it will have as much screaming as REC.

(for the record: i have the spanish REC BD and love the film. But they really, really scream too much.... )

I have REC and love it, cloverfield and the descent type of feel mix, the girl in it is great and for some reason because it felt foreign to me being in the US and they were in spain the firehouse and buildings and firemen had that older feel to them, also Javier botent who is a guy but plays the super skinny girl zombie at the end is crazy I dont know who in quarantine will able to fill his shoes ?

I guess any new or remake zombie or possesion/zombie movie is good though since I am a fan off all of these movies

Its a hollywood remake, I doubt it will capture the intensity of REC. It will most likely be all CGI'ed to hell and back and be a bunch of campy JUMP scares.

Will see it because I have seen REC

Inside makes [rec] a trip to Disneyland. According to reviews, Martrys turns Inside into Disneyland.

[rec] is a Spanish film that is filmed from the perspective of a late night TV crew. It's basically what Diary of the Dead should have been. Quarantine is a shot for shot remake of it.

I just recently watched inside and loved it. Now that's a true horror movie. I really want to see REC but can't find it on DVD for U.S.. Anyone know if this is coming to the U.S. anytime soon? I want to see it before the remake. They usually ruin em when they remake here.
