Default Onkyo 605 & Panasonic BD30K

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have a Panasonic DMP-BD30K and a Onkyo 605 receiver. I have the blu-ray connected to the receiver via HDMI and then the receiver connected to the TV via HDMI and I noticed when watching movies with TrueHD I don't see it on the receiver display (i.e. ironman and 5th element remastered). This is really making me upset, any ideas?

Do you have the Panny set to bitstream for the audio output?

Yes, make sure the "HDMI audio out" setting is off on the Onkyo.

I have the 705, but I think they are similar in this instance.

You need to make sure the listening modes are mapped correctly. In the Onkyo setup menue, select listening modes. You can then assign a listening mode to the various possible input types.

If you want the receiver to light the TrueHD display, you'll have to assign the TrueHD input type to TrueHD output type. It is pretty easily to do, but you will have to do it for each device. BD player, cable/sat box, etc.

Thanks all,
All I had to do was turn HDMI audio off and then set it back to auto after it kicked back in. Thank you again. Problem solved!

Yes, infact, I put Iron Man on and TrueHD did display and sounded better now, and I put in The Incredible Hulk and DTS Master Audio displayed.

make sure you turn off any Dynamic Range control in the BD player and disable the Night Mode/DRC in the Receiver.
