630- if you have alot of windows because this TV is better for anti glare but has a lower contrast then the 650
650- if you can control lighting in room 860- if you are limited in room, this tv is very thin and will give best PQ if i were you this is what I would do 1. 860 first choice 2. 650 3. 630 but if you dont want to spend that much then go with the 650 over 630 |

I had the same dilemma when I was searching for my new TV. In the end, I went with the 860.
The only comment I would leave you with is that if you will be viewing this in a dimly lit area, you may want to consider the 750 or a plasma. I have mine in a room that is very dark when viewing programs and can see a lot of backlight bleed. I was told the 750 may fix my concern due to thicker body and therefore the backlight may not be as close to the screen. I didn't want to chance it hence, the reason I am exchanging mine for a plasma. I think Samsung make a fabulous TV and prefer the current models over any other vendors current LCD models. However, I just feel that LCD is not for my particular situation. Good luck! |

i watch my ln46a650 in a dark room for darker movies and a brightly lit movies. Example, AVP Re**** i watched with the lights out and casino royale i watched with the lights on. Makes a big difference IMO.
I love my 650, wouldn't trade it for anything but a xbr8 or 950 sammy Last edited by SellmeyourDVD; 12-08-2008 at 07:12 PM. |

the 46a650 is the best for the value. i have one and considered the 750 but i would never use the extra interactive features that it has. i would love to have the thin body of the 850 but for the addition costs of the 750/850 i would even consider a 52a650 if i were you. love my 650 though.

I just got a 750 last week, and simply love it so far.
I have windows, on either side of the 750, but haven't noticed any glare. I'm sure there's some, but with the TV on, I don't notice any. Great picture, I'm really impressed. And with Blu Ray....man, I'm spoiled now! ![]() |

+1, this tv is insane for the price, I got mine for $1580 shipped on Amazon. You won't be disappointed, games and movies look amazing. The tv itself looks awesome, the Touch of Color Red is pretty sweet, I get lots of comments on that. One of the best features about this tv aside from the ridiculous picture quality is the colors. Just watch Speed Racer on blu and you'll know what I'm talking about
The only tv I would take over this one is the 52" version of a higher model like the 750 or 850, althought I don't know how much better the picture can get ![]() |

I actually got a 52" Sammy 750, and I have speed racer but have not watched it yet.
Now I've got to try it out! ![]() Once you go Blu, it's hard to ever go back to SD. |

The 650 has great black levels for an LCD but as others have stated, it will have issues in a bright room! (worse than most plasmas actually) the only LCD i would choose over this is the XBR8 from sony or the sammy with the LED backlight!
