black screen on windvd - Blu-ray Forum

hi, i bought a pioneer bdc2202 and after i set the region for the bd drive (which i bought in israel) i try to play my original blu-ray disc on windvd the screen stays black.... and no audio too (and ya i did press play ^^) the blu ray disc was bought from amazon.com its u.s.a printed,and it has a,b,,c rigions on it ,what to do?
system specs are:
windows xp ,intel quad core 2 cpu q6600 2.4ghz ,gforce 8600gt512mb ,3gb of ram

I am not sure if the windvd software is capable of playing blu-rays. If it is maybe you just need a newer version.

I found it you need windvd 9 plus blu-ray

If you're using the oem version of WinDVD 8 which came with the drive try installing the patch available on Pioneer's website:

Which Blu-ray were you trying to play?
