Perhaps it should be "Best film of 2008 besides The Dark Knight"

that would be "Best Surprise movie of the year" thread.

My vote: Dark Knight - yep it's clichéd, but it's still the best movie this year (just barely edged out Iron Man IMO).

Quantum of Solace, followed closely by Dark Knight.

There isn't even a point in making this thread. Everyone is gonna say the dark Knight anyway. I'd say Milk, or possibly Benjamin Button when i see it.

Number one HANDS DOWN for me Slumdog Millionaire, coming in second is Let The Right One In...and I dont know if I want Wall E or TDK in 3rd, but I am sure Milk will take 3rd or higher when I see it.

I still haven't seen either of those two films yet. So I can't say. TDK is high on my list so far though.

Iron Man, Dark Knight, and Quantum of Solace. Still waiting for Milk and Frost/Nixon, they'll probably go up their too.
