It wasn't released in 2008, but I saw it in 2008 on a DVD rental.

IN THE NAME OF THE KING - Jason Statham

Absolutely and without a doubt the worst piece of acting I have been unfortunate enough to have seen. Not only this year, but in many years gone by as well. It's coming out on BD on 12/16/08....what a waste!

Don't Mess with the Zohan ( even Sandler couldn't save this one )
Witless Protection

Some of the worst ever all in 2008

lol at Meet the Spartans

I lost my job cause of that movie.....sort of

I was working at Hollywood Video and I told someone renting this movie that it was terrible and asked him why in the world he would want to rent it.

I guess he thought I was insulting his intelligence (I was, I just thought he would be to stupid to realize) and he called corporate complaining. This resulted in an annoying and escalating conflict between me and my DM which led me to quit.

It's all good and well cuz now I have a better paying job and I work less hours.

But I will never forget this movie or the idiot who rented it.

I played it safe. We had this movie in the "Tons of Copies" section and every time someone rented (it was a smashing success at the store) hurt me really badly, but I didn't say anything. Like I never say anything when people rent The Happening. When they ask me though, I'm honest. Hey, why would they ask if they don't expect the possibility of me saying it sucks?

But if I've learned anything from working in a rental store, is that when people ask you if a movie is good. You say "Yes" and they'll cut your sentence before you get to describe how good it is (sometimes aggressively like "Okay okay I take it"), you say "No" and they take it anyway, saying "Well I guess we'll see".

Ya I totally get what ur saying and all

Usually when people rent bad movies they know that its bad and they just wanna spend some time with family and friends. Sometimes I even enjoy bad movies and laugh at them.

But this particular guy was so excited that the movie came out and he was telling me I should watch it and asking me why I haven't seen it yet. In short, he was asking for it.

I have never seen them, I am judging by how horrible they looked in the trailers...and how the Eye is a foreign remake with Alba, yeah she is hot but she is a horrible actress.

It was a good year for summer blockbusters, but other than that it was a really shitty year...and it seems to get worse EVERY year.

Transporter 3. I think I could have liked it though if it were for dragging stuff out especially with the girl.

IMO - Indiana Jones... is the worst and it had to do a lot with the hype of this movie.. Sure the other ones are bad.. but more than half of those I would think that without even seeing them... but this was supposed to be great and I left in such a funk after this sh!tty movie.. and I'm one who didnt like Cloverfield the first time i saw but decided to give it another shot on blu and actually found it rather entertaining... but Indiana ... it was so bad that I haven't and won't even give it a 2nd chance on blu..

Thumbs down Hancock

Hancock. The twist was predictable. But the plot didn't make a whole lot of sense. I'm glad I didn't pay to see it.

Agreed, the worst one I saw, but I did not see many of the others listed if it makes Hancock fans feel better.

It's a shame. I haven't seen it yet, but I guess I'll lower my expectations.

Its a great action film, and the story had potential but they did not really go in depth with it...hoping the next one will be a lot better.

I understand why they still work, because they make the most retarded easy films ever for under 20 Million, then they bring in 40 - 60 million...my generation loves those stupid ass films

That sucks. I also work at a videostore however it isn't chain store. Anyways, I never get in trouble for insulting movies because people ask. It is sad too becuase even after I tell them it is crap, they still rent it. One person (12 year old) said "Meet The Spartans" was his favourite film ever . I died a little that day
