Japan's Kaguya moon footage to come to BD 6/18 - Blu-ray Forum

According to Japan's AV watch, Kaguya's HD moon footage will be released on 6/18 in Japan by Pony Canyon, a full month before it gets a DVD release there, at a cost of 4935 yen (about $48). Here's the link (in Japanese)

Pretty expensive for 40 minutes of footage, but it might be a good watch.

What I find hilarious is that these dumbasses first announced it as an HDDVD/DVD combo (in Japan, of all places) without a Blu-ray release less than a week before the Toshiba announcement. They then cancelled it the day after.

I suppose so... but let's be honest, someone didn't exactly pop out with a HD camera on a whim for this one. I imagine the "on location" costs were pretty high

2Mpbs 720p streams are now available on their website (you might need a recording program to play these due to internet bottlenecks):

Amazon Japan is the cheapest source, but CD Japan also carries it

Try HMV Japan also. I get a lot of my stuff from there. Better shipping rates than Amazon JP
