New DCUO Footage from CES - Blu-ray Forum

Three videos showing off more of DC Universe Online.

My thoughts...

Up until now we saw only generic body-suited characters, it was nice to see the more detailed character creation and some unique looking characters
The offense/defense/support roles almost at will is a really neat idea - that will really change the MMO dynamic
Movement modes still seem a bit blah - nice to see a new one in acrobatics, but overall they don't seem to be a huge improvement over CoH
Nice to see the character development and traits (like how you can have different levels of superstrength) - but I'm still a little worried that actual power choices/development might not change much after character creation - though I'll reserve judgement
The world and how the instances work looks pretty nice too

Overall, I'm still pretty impressed. Considering this is probably a late '09 release the progress they continue to make looks great.

There is a thread existing for this, the 'DC universe online MEGATHREAD'

Those videos are also linked in the thread, hopefully Toxa or the other Mods can merge yours into the original

I know Max kinda pointed this out, but just calling a thread you created a "Megathread" doesn't really make it so. Your thread doesn't even meet the usual standards of a megathread here.

If you want to be the main guy maintaining a DCUO megathread by all means go for it, but you may want to go check out the LBP, Killzone 2, or Rock Band 2 Megathreads for reference and go get crackin' on editing that first post. (I sure as heck know I'm not the guy to do it - though feel free to use the info in my older posts about Geoff Johns doing the writing to help build it).

Honestly I don't think there are enough people that interested in DCUO or enough info out about it to sustain a thread long-term yet. The DCUO posts never really get many responses here. (Which to me is a shame since I think it could be big.)
