Default Best Possible New 50-52" LCD Tv?

I have a Samsung 1080i 50" DLP now, and is about 8.5' from where I view it and looks fine on HD channels & DVD's. I'll be getting my Blu-Ray player Soon (I HOPE! ), and have a decent bluray dvd collection going.

My question is for a bit down the road: I don't "think" i'll be too disconcerted with watching BLU's on what I have Now with the 1080i, as i'm sure it'll look obv. better & Sound better than conventional dvd's, right? But, obv. i'll prob. want to get that full 1080P and since my room isn't that big, a 50-52" LCD is what i'll probably be looking for next. I figure with the Enhanced 1080P and it being an LCD, I can have another 10-12" to push the TV back on the stand I have, vice wall mounting it (I Rent), so the picture will look even better when I make the plunge.

ALl that said, I am looking for info from any readers with ideas on what's out there, preferably for not much more than $1000 (if that is possible for that size LCD?)

Thanks in advance everyone!
