Default Onkyo TX-SR706!

great home theater receiver!,my very first one.

all thou it can't output 1080P from component to hdm (My Xbox 360),im fine with that since i play most of my games on the ps3 that out 7.1 uncompressed sound!.

It does Tend to get warm at times,it even has a Sticker on it that says
"this unit may get fairy hot at time's,this is normal do not block cooling vents blah blah". and it even has aluminum cool fins inside to help

but i Know Heat is never a good thing for Electronics's so i put a fan over top and it keeps it cool to touch then being fairly warm on top.

the good thing about the SR706 is that It Matrix's all 5.1 source's into 7.1,the speaker set up in the display doesn't have to show a 7.1 input source to know it's working...just does it in the process.

some might say the remote is big,but im fine with it

is it THX certified and THX select 2.
and im quite sure Onkyo is a brand you can trust with its 5 year warranty

i give it a thumbs up!
