Onkyo TX-SR706 Help - Blu-ray Forum

After a lengthy process of trying to find the absolute best receiver for the money, I believe I have found it. I put up a post https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=69800s in which I mentioned a couple different options. Through that post I decided to go with the Yamaha RX-V863 for around $625.

I recently chose not to go with the yammy and I am changing my choice to the Onkyo TX-SR 706 for around $500. Just wanted to here some opinions on its sound quality and heat output. I chose the onkyo because of its added value over the Yamaha, but I am afraid the SQ wont live up to the Yamaha's. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have it's older brother the 705
I had to do a lot of tweaking to get it to sing with my
in-wall polks
but now...... tis a wonderful thing
looking for a 906 for my main setup
