Default Underworld question

So I just watched Underworld (awesome movie, and one of my favorite blu's) and I was looking at the back cover and there is a little black and gold box that say's "Full HD 1080". My question is is this film 1080p? Why I am asking is because just the other day at best buy and they had a TV on display that had the same black and gold box on it but that TV was 1080i. Guess i'm just looking for clarification.

Yes it is 1080p. The box says that because it is Sony's trademark logo to put the FULL HD 1080.

It doesn't say that on the back of Underworld Evolution.

All movies are in 1080p except for a few titles. Both underworld titles are in 1080p

Underworld Evolution was released on Blu-ray before the original. It would be before Sony started putting that logo onto the back of all their Blu releases.

A lot Hong Kong Blu-rays say this as well. Tai Seng who repackaged the HK BDs also has that on the covers.

Its a logo to inform consumers that they are getting the 1080 HD resolution or Full HD 1080 from the title. It is possible to have 720 HD on disc but rare for the actual film itself. Instead, you will find 720 HD films on the Playstation store, XBox Live, Netflix Instant, and televison stations (notably Fox and ABC). The logo was on early releases to calm consumer fears that the Blu-ray was not "Full High Definition."

No they aren't. All of the special features are in SD. The actual movie has good picture quality and great sound though.
