Default New to the Forum, having a little trouble with my new setup.

Ok I just hooked up my ONKYO 606 receiver & SONY BSP-S350 Blu Ray Player together via HDMI as well as my Verizon Fios cable box (also HDMI). So far I've run into the following issues:

1) When doing the Audessey sound test for a 5:1 setup, the back right surround speaker gets tested but ends at the LEFT and comes up on the error screen as not being detected. Yet if i ignore it and listen to the individual "hissing" from each speaker it shows up and even works during a movie. Don't understand

2) Watching THE DARK KNIGHT and LOST: Season 4 as references, I set the audio at regular ENGLISH 5:1 Dolby and the sound comes in with no problems (aside from the level adjusting needed because the Audessey doesn't work.) When I select Dolby True HD on THE DARK KNIGHT, I notice I'm not getting sound from the rear. Same happens when I select Uncompressed 5:1 in the LOST menu, but works fine with standard Dolby 5:1?

I have my Blu Ray player set to DIRECT in the audio output menu as I have been told in the Blu Ray forum but just can't figure this stuff out. Thanks again in advance.

-Dan
