Default Blockbuster Online Rentals

hi guys,
I know there was a thread about netflix not having enough blurays for rental. But blockbuster is terrible also. Any new blu-ray takes 2 weeks or more usually until i get it. I complain to them before and nothing happens. I know they dont want to buy a bunch because of price but the stores always has them in stock. Anybody else have this problem? My buddy has the same problems also. Maybe if we all got toghther with one email and sent it to them they would listen. Any thoughts?
Pat

Well I have never tried to get a new bd through the mail because its obvious to me I would have to wait. That being said I have never had a problem with my service, and I can usually get new ones in the store with trade ins.

Yeah, the only thing you can try is to be sure and mail back on Friday, place the movies releasing on Tuesday at the top of the queue and hope for the best. I usually use the free in-store movie exchanges for some of the delayed ones.

I think the only way Blockbuster would listen to us and not their shareholders would be for all of us to cancel their accounts. They know that ain't gonna happen

I believe that they hold the new releases for new members, when I first signed up I got the top three items in my que and they were all new release Blus. Now, if I want a new release I have to get it from the store via trade-in.

Store trade-in is usually your best bet. Just add a bunch of no-name titles to your que, and as soon as you get them in the mail, reseal them and go up to the store and get what you want.

With all the new people buying blu-ray players, I can't get any new releases in my store anymore Who do they think they are? They should leave them there for me since I helped pave the way to HD-DVD's downfall. I mean they should show some respect for those who brought them to enlightenment.

I am surprisingly very happy with my BB online account. I basically get to watch everything Blu I want between the mailed copies and Free in-store exchanges. Plus, I love $4.99 PS3 rentals

Sorry to hear that not all of you have similar experiences.

I feel the same way. I'm very happy. I was grandfathered in with the once-a-month coupon so I get to rent a free game each month. Plus, no late fees = awesome.

My local store, I've noticed, is getting a LOT more copies of BD new releases. Hopefully, that means they'll start selling previously viewed BDs on the cheap.

I find it to work great. Have been with them for about 2 years now and pretty much always get whichever movies I want between mail and store. Two weeks I ago I got Mummy 3 and Traitor in the mail, so the only new members getting new movies theory doesnt really exist.

I love Blockbuster online. For me, it's about 100 times better than Netflix ever was. I pay just under $20 a month for unlimited rentals through the mail, plus I can swap out 5 rentals a month for in-store movies.

There are so many Blockbusters near me and their Blu-Ray sections are growing and growing. Most of my local stores get multiple copies of their new release titles, so if for some reason I don't get it by mail right away, I just grab it at the store.

I love it!

I was with Netflix for years before making the switch. It's a night and day difference. Blockbuster Online Total Access rocks!

I was with netflix, tried blockbuster, and back with netflix.. both have issues..

The last straw for me with block buster was when I received a cracked DVD and tried to report it on their web site.. their web site refused to let me report a problem because it THINKS I shoudln't of rececived the dvd in the mail yet. Nice software

I would say the in store trade thing is nice but really blockbuster had nearly NO titles availble.. over half were Short/Long waits and none of the movies were new releases. They must have considerably less movies on hand or something. Netflix is far better for having older movies with no waits... for new movies both services suck unless you do the in store trade through BB.
