Default Velodyne DLS 4000R......

First, I'm new to the forum, so thanks for taking time out to look at my post. I'll be sure to update my profile.

I have an opportunity to purchase a new Velodyne DLS-4000R for $425.00 shipped (Florida --> to California). For the price and taking into consideration the shipping cost do you think I can do much better?

I need to stay very close to that price range because I'm on a college student budget.

- The room size is (12'X18")
- I watch a lot of movies

If you need more information let me know. I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks

Seems like a great price on that sub. I still think I'd recommend the eD A2 - 300 Subwoofer for HT because it will go down deeper. It may be a bit more w/ shipping though.

Frequency Response:
A2-300: 18-100Hz
DLS-4000R: 25-120Hz

Thanks for the post. I have read numerous reviews on this sub and I think I'm going to take your advice and go with the Elemental Designs.

Now, my question is for $150.00 more dollars should I look into getting the A3 - 300 subwoofer? I can afford to spend some extra money since they don't charge shipping for UPS ground.

Thanks again for your help!

Many would say it is a worthy upgrade since the driver used in the A3-300 is better than the A2-300's. If you've got it, why not? Or you could just get one A2-300 and one AA Sub-12.

Thanks for you help. I will take your advice and get the A3-300 and look into building a riser like you did with your home theater.

I'll post pics as soon as I get it!

I didn't catch this. Do you mean order the A2-300 and upgrade the sub?

Sorry

Don't worry about it. The A3-300 is going to be a great sub for you.
