Love your setup !
The acoustic treatment blends in nicely with the black couch and it gives a sophisticated look.

The acoustics actually help at the back a bit since behind it is a hollow stairway and no insulation on that wall. As for the fronts don't know if it does anything for the room but I'm sure it helps the neighbors a bit since their master bedroom is just across the other side of that wall. Those are actually dividers from office desks that they trashed at work so I grabbed them and my wife put better fabric over top.

And yes I am actually married with kids and we all love movies and music so I'm happy my wife OK'd the upgrade not even a year after our first purchase

And to add to the upgrade - I ended up ordering an ED A2-300 about 20 mins ago.... Damn that thread!! Hope the fees to Canada ain't too bad

All that room treatment, yet you have a small refrigerator in the room. Doesn't that add some background noise?

Finally got my sub yesterday and after day 2 it's sounding much better! Watched bits of King Kong - Man the sound from that movie is CRAZY!!

Also put up some new pics with the sub in my gallery.

To add to my upgrade, which I thought was done - maybe? getting an EMOTIVA XPA-3 to power up my fronts.

I'm actually in Northern Alberta now so it kinda sucks for me that the closest city in any direction is Edmonton, which is 300kms away. Good thing the town next to mine had a small audio store that is an actual authorized Paradigm dealer so I don't have to drive so far if any problems.

But I am very happy with the sound so far and actually went ahead and ordered the XPA-3 to see what more I can get from My fronts.

Emotiva gives a 30 day free trial anyway so I might as well check it out since I got credit from UPS to ship back if I decide to. It's the only way for me to know and I'll be posting up my thoughts once I get it all hooked up.

Yeah Vancouver must have a lot of good places to check out and take your time at before making a decision. I was there Last summer and I love it there.
Will hopefully end up out west a few years from now.

First off i have to tell you that i dig you set up man..it flows very nicely...second off ...WOW you pulled the trigger on the eMotiva..nice man!! cant wait for the review on that badboy!

Vancouver is great but expensive..I know of 4 dedicated high end audio/video places here in vancouver...to be honest with you i dont think any of them carry eMotiva...I am planning on visiting 1 or 2 of these retailers in the next month or two just to check out some gear/possible upgrades...that eMotiva is looking like i might have to make a little home for it though!!

I bet you cant wait to get it in your hands!! youll be chekcing that tracking # every 30 mins! heh

So I think I'm finally done for sure this time - had to add more cuz of the crazy January deals - I ended up getting an Emotiva XPA-3 and an APC H15 since the prices were so low.

The XPA-3 is worth the price I paid for sure. I thinks it's still even good to buy at it's regular price - I got a whole new sound system by adding this one component!!

I've updated my gallery with the latest additions so check it out
