Post R.I.P. Majel Barrett-Roddenberry (a.k.a. Dr. Chapel from "Star Trek")

All right here:

http://www.imdb.com/news/ni0632338/

So sad to hear this news. Majel's character, Dr. Christine Chapel, was one of my favorite characters in the Star Trek universe. She will be deeply missed. There's no doubt in my mind that J.J. Abrams will dedicate the new Star Trek movie to her and other Star Trek greats such as DeForest Kelley and James Doohan.

Very very sorry to hear about that. I liked her very much in so many of her roles and in other series work as Director as I recall. Hopefully Abrams will also include Gene in his dedication as well.

Liked her charater in the original series and the actress herself.
Hated her character in the next generation. I found her to be extremly annoying in Trois mom's role.
Almost as much as i hated Whoopi in TNG.

The Enterprise voice interface!!! The ships will never be the same, ever again.

R.I.P. Majel... you were a testament to your husband's vision and a wonderful actress who commanded the scene.
