Deep sadness for Trek fans today. The wife of Gene Roddenberry, who was best known for her roles as Nurse Chapel on the original Star Trek and the voice of the ship's computer on other various Star Trek shows, passed away today from Leukemia. She was 76.

Her last role, was the voice of the ship's computer in the upcoming Star Trek movie in 2009.

She will be sorely missed.

I just heard about this a few hours ago. very sad.
I had to change my desktop photo with a pic of the Beautiful Nurse Chapel
