Default Majel Roddenberry R.I.P.

I saw that there is already a thread started for this in the Off-Topic, but I thought she deserved better than to be relegated to an area that doesn't show up on the home page.

Although I saw Majel Barrett/Roddenberry on the original Star Trek in her role as Nurse Chapel, it was her role as Luwaxanna Trois on The Next Generation that really stands out. I guess she must have been in her sixties then, but the way she played the character just oozed sex appeal. And hopefully Majel had as much zest for life as the character I remember her best for. Hopefully, she's now reunited with Gene.

Here is a copy of SeahawxBlu's post from the Off-Topic forum:

Deep sadness for Trek fans today. The wife of Gene Roddenberry, who was best known for her roles as Nurse Chapel on the original Star Trek and the voice of the ship's computer on other various Star Trek shows, passed away today from Leukemia. She was 76.

Her last role, was the voice of the ship's computer in the upcoming Star Trek movie in 2009.

She will be sorely missed.
