Default Panasonic LCD vs. Samsung LCD vs. Insignia Plasma

ok guys, I'm looking into getting a 32inch tv. i think i've narrowed it down to 3 panels. please help me choose. i'm also open to other alternatives.

1. Panasonic TC-32LX85 (seen it for about $600)
2. Insignia NS-PDP32-09 (on clearance at Best Buy for 399.99)
3. Samsung LN32A450 (about $600)

what do you guys think?? any input is appreciated.

No offense but that Insignia doesn't belong in the same bracket as a Panny and Samsung. The performance you get from the Panny and Sammy will far surpass that of the Insignia.

Is your heart set on getting a 32" LCD?? You can get a 42" 768P Panasonic Plasma somewhere in the $700 range, and it is a phenominal HDTV. You'd get better performance from this tv than any of the others on your list.

If not, between those tv's, i would get the Samsung personally. Just my $0.02

the panasonic and the samsung are basically the same spec wise except that the samsung has a 6ms response time, so out of the 3 it is least likely to have any motion lag(if you ever do experience it anyways). I would personally say that you should go look at them play with the menu settings, see which you like best over all and go from there. It really up to you as to which you prefer.

don't get me wrong I LOVE panasonic plasmas (in fact, i want to steal the TH-42PZ700U my dad has from him!), but they're too big for the space i have. i'm kind of leaning towards the panasonic lcd (mostly due to the good experiences i've had with panasonic), but i'm thinking that i might just get whichever lcd has the best price.

Forgive me, I thought plasma was totally different from LCD? You don't normally find plasma's below the 37" model range.

I'd go for the Panasonic, I have one in that range and it's one of the best buys for your money you can get.

Insignia's aren't bad, I saw a 46 inch 1080p Insignia at BB which had good picture on it for 799. But heck, what do I know, I only have a Samsung TOC 630 series

i went and saw the insignia plasma. wow...it was horrible!. i played around with the picture settings, but it didn't make much of a difference. i saw the samsung and panasonic. they both look pretty similar. its so hard to make a decision!

ok, so i ordered a tv. i found a great deal on the sharp LC37D64U. it was 700 bucks and i figured 5 more inches and 1080p was worth the extra 100 bucks. what do you guys think of this tv? the reviews i've read seem to be pretty positive and i liked the picture quality of the 42inch version of this tv.
