Default Sega Saturn COMPONENT Video

OK, hopefully this is the right forum for this question. If not, please move it and accept my apologies for placing it in the wrong forum.

While wiring up my home theater, I began replacing old composite connections with S-Video, component with HDMI, etc, etc. I was always trying to make an upgrade, especially with many of the cheap prices that can be found for connections on Monoprice and eBay. Anyways, I came across an old forum posting (on a different site... I don't have the link anymore.. but I'll look for it again later) somewhere down the line that explained how to get component video out of a Sega Saturn. I was intrigued because it would free up a composite/S-Video connection for another one of my older game systems, and I've always liked playing with home theater gear anyways.

Well, the poster said to get an SCART cable from eBay and attempt the following connection, which he and a few other posters had success with:
Sega Saturn SCART -> SCART Switcher* -> SCART to Component Video Transcoder -> Component Video Cable -> TV
*The point of the SCART switcher was to be able to pull audio out of the connection since the SCART to component video transcoder only did video.

When everything was said and done, the audio actually worked, and the video came on, but with excessive flickering to the point where I could barely even make out what was on the TV. I messed around with the TV settings and couldn't get it to display properly. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can post pics later if it will help but in the meantime it's just a Sega Saturn with a Sony rear projection HDTV (model # in my sig). Thanks in advance for any advice.
