onkyo 706 vs pioneer VSX-01TXH

please what is your opinion which one do you think is better.I will be pushing 5 titan monitors from paradigm and a sv sub

I Dont Know That Much About The Pioneer, I Can Just Tell Ya That I Love My Onkyo 805 And Would Highly Recommend The Onkyo As Long As The 705 Will Do Everything You Desire.if So Go Onkyo

onkyos get hot, and yes they are nice. I had one. I now have a pioneer elite 91. Imo, i would get the pioneer.

Only the 605 and 805 had heat problems and that was only if they were not in a well ventilated area. The 705/706 don't have any heat problems.

Personally, I think the Pioneers are ugly but I'm sure it's a great receiver.

I'm a fairly ardent supporter of Onkyo (I've owned a couple of their receivers some speakers, and I've heard others) but here are my thoughts.

Onkyo 706 dropped Burr Brown DAC's previously available on the 705.
vsx-01txh use Wolfson WM8728 DAC's

PIONEERS look 10X better. Nice glossy Urushi finished face plates.

yeah i was wondering where he got that pioneer looks ugly compared to a onkyo. I have both and pioneer just looks more classy.
