Default Pioneer Elite VSX-01TXH Question?

Can you adjust for individual crossovers for all the speakers with this receiver? I can't seem to find anything about it. Thanks in advance.

I have the Vsx-03 and it will not let you do each speaker.

I picked this thing up new in the box a few days ago for $469. I can't wait until tomorrow, when it gets here. It will be replacing a sony 697, that will be like going from a pinto to a cadillac for me

Go into setup. Then to manual SP setup. Then to Speaker setting. The menu should have settings for Front Speaker, Center, etc., you can choose small or large. Below this should be a X.Over choice box.
Check it out.

I don't think that you get specific speaker Xover until you get into the Elites that you have Wolf.

.. no independent xovers on the VSX 01- Elite ... set your AVR xover at 80hz for 100hz... and It'll sound great (IMO) ... I luv my AVR so far .. just got it not too long ago ... no complaints yet, would recommened it over the Onk's in similar price range becuz I recently heard the 706 And the 806 at 6AVE, hooked up to a similar set up as mine,, and was not impressed .. I get a real clean output out of my Pio despite the xovers. .. (again IMO) ..)

No individual speaker x-overs in the 03 either, but it still sounds amazing!

The question is: Why would you want individual speakers crossovers? I would think you would want the same setting for all your speakers so they will all cut over to the subwoofer equally. Any other massaging can be done with the EQ set - up, no? In pro sound systems they calibrate what crossover point works best for that room for the whole system......

I'm with you, but let me try to take a guess.

Obviously, if you have seven identical speakers individual crossover frequencies would be irrelevant.

But, let's say you have decent mains and a subwoofer, but rather small surrounds and surround backs. Perhaps you'd want to send everything below 55 Hz to the subwoofer. Then send 55 Hz and above to the mains and send 80 Hz and above to the surrounds and surround backs.

I'm not sure if this would sound better. If you had a really good subwoofer or mains, it seems this would be moot. Perhaps someone who feels the need for this feature can elaborate.
