Default Films nominated for awards

I went to rent an movie the other day and looked at the release dates. It would appear that Slumdog Millionaire and The Wrestler are scheduled to release on dvd at the end of Febuary. That would be right after the Oscars. My question is if they are scheduled to release on dvd; Why haven't we heard about an blu ray release.

I think both movies will be push back for release on DVD and Blu-ray.The studios will want to capitalize on these movies, both of these movies were low budgeted movies that came out of no where and is picking up awards all over and I won't be surprise if they make a sweep at the Oscars.

I agree the same with the curious case of Benjamin Button. Those 3 movies we are discussing are finally original ideas from hollywood. Too many sequels and remakes are coming out. Then there are the movies that are nothing but special effects. Some of those are cool but the majority Im like didn't that same movie just come out with a different title.

Benjamin Button is based upon a story by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I wouldn't consider a movie based upon a book/story to be an original idea.

Especially with the similarities to Forest Gump.
