playing videos on the ps3

i've got some home movies on cd but do they need to be a certain format to be able to play on the ps3?

MKV2VOB. BEST TOOL EVER!!!

PS3 Video Converter. this one is meh... i only use to to ensure the divx/xvid profile is the proper one.

with these 2 apps, if it doesn't play on your PS3, just run it though either of these and you're more than good to go.

yeah the files were avi and when i went to video and usb nothing showed up but i hit triangle and show all then i showed up and i could watch the movie just fine
