I understand Blu-Ray will support:
1920x1080 1280x720 720x576/480 SD Will movies actually be released as 1920x1080? Remind me what rez the best home LCD screens are at these days. I'm being told the best rez current home video projectors are able to handle is 1280x720. (Or at least this seems to be becoming a standard.) If one of these projectors were purchased now, do you think it would be "natively" compatible (ie: no transcoding or rez manipulation) with Blu-ray when it comes out in a year or so? And bonus question: Anybody know what rez theatres will be projecting video at? (Surely it must be more than 1920 x 1080.) Thanks, RBG |
