How I connected everyting...

TV
HDMI 1 IN from Blu-Ray HDMI OUT
R-L Audio OUT to Receiver TV Audio IN
Cable/Ant IN from Cable Box

Blu Ray
HDMI OUT to TV HDMI 1 IN
R-L Audio OUT to Receiver Video 1 Audio IN

Home Theatre Receiver
TV Audio IN from TV R-L Audio OUT
Video 1 Audio IN from Blu-Ray R-L Audio OUT

I'm using a MONSTER HDMI cable, unfortunately I don't know what kind because someone threw out the packaging.

----------------------------------------------

My problems...
-When watching a DVD or Blu-Ray disc, the picture seems to be moving too fast. It's like the movie is sped up, but it's not. I'm not sure if maybe that's just how high definition movies are because I've never seen one Also the picture seems very BRIGHT. When I press the theatre button on the remote, it darkens the picture and makes it seem like it's playing at normal speed, but I'm not sure if that's the real solution.

-When watching a DVD or Blu-Ray disc, I only hear sound out of the TV speakers and the front left and right home theatre speakers. I have a feeling I need a different cable, but I'm not sure what kind.

-When watching TV I only hear sound out of the TV speakers and the right and left front home theatre speakers. Are all tv shows in surround sound or am I completely wrong

--------------------------------------

So I think I explained everything as best as I could. Those were the only problems I noticed, but if you see anything ele wrong with how I connected anything, please let me know. All I want to do is see and hear everything how I'm supposed to. Thanks in advance for your help
