What do you think about buying from Craigslist? - Blu-ray Forum

I've bought a speaker off Craigslist before, and I got a hell of a deal. People like the convenience of Craigslist, so it's easy to find bargains there. Just be sure you inspect and test the speakers before buying them.

I also just bought a pair of NHT speakers from a guy on Craigslist. The speakers retailed for about $2,000 in 1997 and I bought them for $475. They were in excellent condition and the guy ended up throwing in the matching center channel (with a blown tweeter, but I had a tweeter from my center to replace it with) and a set of MIT Terminator 3 cables. I drove away a happy man. You can see the speakers in my gallery.

You're absolutely right Shawn, those are great looking speakers, nice piano finish. I do love the piano black look. You got some deal there.

Shaun, great looking speakers. Take good care of them, because NHT just closed their doors.

It is probably the best place to find absolute bargains right now if you know what you are doing and thoroughly inspect the items.
