What Re-boot movie would you most like to see?
Should Hollywood remake movies? While I am a sucker for a good remake, I am happy with the way Hollywood has opted more towards a retelling of the tale via the Re-boot. I like Superman Returns. All be it closer to a remake, it was a good solid movie. Batman Begins was a great example of a re-boot. It revitalized an icon and saved failing franchise. Halloween will be coming out soon. Did that need a remake? Is there a line that Hollywood should not cross? What is the length of time between the original movie and the remake one should abide by to show the proper respect? 10, 15 years will we see a re-boot of the Matrix. Star Wars sort of already did it's re-boot. As long as they are profitable Hollywood will always try to recapture Box office gold. |

i'm not necessarily certain i want too many movies to get reboots.. it strikes me that the kinds of movies that are most suitable for reboots are franchises, like comic books (batman, superman, etc etc) or the like (james bond).

Honestly, virtually nothing. There's very few times where remakes/reboots are superior to the original, and usually suffer from "make it my own" syndrome where they deviate from the original into whatever the monkey they hire to do it thinks is "his vision"
If you want to be creative, be creative with your own stuff |

I have 3 to nominate:
Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith Sorry, I'm being a little facetious, but I wasn't very happy with these films and would much rather see them redone before the original trilogy. And I'm not trying to knock them either as they are technical marvels in their own right, but for Star Wars films I thought they were a little over par. Just my 2 cents ![]() |

Clash of The Titans is getting a re-make, with today's technology it should at least be pleasing to the eye.
I'd like to see the Predator series get a re-boot, without Aliens. Would be cool to see their race attempt to inhabit earth and hunt humans for sport/trophies ![]() |
