Default Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl loads slow?

I have a Sony BD51 blu ray player, installed the firmware upgrade last fall and since then no problems with any blu ray discs. Last night tried to watch Pirates of the Caribbean 1, and first it took forever to load, then all I saw was a spinning gold dubloon. Then it finally kicked in to the previews, then very slowly the movie started. Is it slower than usual because of all the data crammed onto the first disc? Does Sony have a new firmware upgrade since the first one that I don't know about? The owner of the video store told me before I bought Pirates yesterday that another customer had complained that the disc would not play on his Sony player at all. Any one else out there having problems with this?
Thanks!

Just got my update from Sony store. Great salesman burned the disc as we stood chating about it.
