Amazon Pre-Orders - Blu-ray Forum

I tried finding a thread on this topic and came up with nothing so hopefully I am not duplicating a previous topic. I pre-ordered Quantum of Solace and The World is Not Enough on Amazon. The release date is March 24th, but my order says expected ship date is March 30th. I thought if you pre-ordered from Amazon they would ship it or deliver it on the release date. Does anyone know Amazon's policy on shipping new releases?

Are you using their free shipping? Prime members usually get their movies on the day of release or the day after...depending on where they live.

They drag their feet sometimes with the free shipping. Often it will ship before the date that they show.

I did choose free shipping. I figured if I paid for shipping I might as well just go to Best Buy or Target and get the movies on day of release. I really should sign up for a prime membership.

Or just be patient and save some $$$.

I am renting it from netflix with a bonus BD credit that I got from them. The movie is on the top of my queue. On Sunday evening, I click on the bonus credit button and it'll ship on Monday for Tuesday delivery as their shipping warehouse is about 5 miles from me. If I like it, I'll buy it later when it is $15.
