I downloaded the new ps3 1.8 update but I can't get it to sync with my PC. I get a message saying "no server found"

Does anybody know how can I get sync my media files from my pc to my ps3?

I still can't get my media files to stream with my ps3. I get a message saying:

"access to the media server is not allowed. It is possible that the system for this PS3 system has not been registered. Check the settings for the media server."

First, make sure you allow the PS/3 to access.

If you're using Media Player 11, go to Library/Media Sharing
Then have the PS/3 rescan for servers

Whats strange with my ps3 is when I scan it finds nothing. But after a few minutes my wmp11 pc just shows up in the xmb.

One or more of your hardware/software firewalls (if you have any!) may be causing it to take so long. I'm no expert on firewalls, port opening and the like so I'll leave suggestions to someone else.

I'm using something called SimpleCenter. Seems to be working for music and photos. Haven't checked videos yet.

Edit: they have a free version and a premium pay version but it's also open sourced.

Have you setup Windows Media Player 11 as I described in this thread?

yep but its not reading my ps3
