My budge is under $600, looked for 5.1 to 7.1 good speaker and hd receiver for under $600.

Are you sold on 5.1 or 7.1? If so, for this amount all you can get with a receiver would be a HTiB. You would be better served to try and find a good center and a pair of fronts, along with possibly a refurb receiver for around that much. Not sure where you might find all of this for $600, but doing it right the first time will only save you $ down the road, when you eventually (and you will) get upgraditis.
