Default Oh oh, I think I screwed up on my HTR purchase

The budget went out the window and I made a purchase on the fly. I got Sound Stage Stage 400 for the fronts. Satge 300 for the rears sound stage center channel and their 10" subwoofer. Powering this is the Onkyo tsxr674. Other components are a Westinghouse 42w2, ps3 and a Motorola 2416 ( i think thats the right number) DVR cable box.

After hooking it all up - bad flicker from the ps3 and green screen from the cable box. I don't know how I missed the ps3 flicker problem on the internet before this issue, Also the on screen display doesn't work over HDMI??? The speakers sound great -no problem with them. I'm thinking I should return the receiver and go with the HK. Anyway to fix these problems or just take it back? I've decided HDMI 1.2 is all I need because the PS3 does the sound processing and sends it to the receiver.

Take it back.

Does that cable box not work with HDMI? Maybe that's the trouble? Does the PS3 output fine to the TV directly?

Both the ps3 and cable box work great directly to the TV over HDMI. 1.8 allowed me to go back to HDMI with the ps3 after using HDMI to DvI for the old westinghouse flicker problem.
