Default How do set up my home theater system in this home?

I had Onkyo HT-S9100THX, I wonder which of the 2 location should i use to put the speakers. And what type of setup.

The 2nd. pic seems to imply that you're considering a corner setup, which I would strongly recommend against.

Go with a setup somewhere along the wall of the 1st. picture. I don't know what your budget for speakers is or of you already have some. You could certainly start with a 2.0, 2.1, 3.0 or 3.1 setup for a start, and add surrounds at a later date.

Also, do you have a Blu-ray player already? What other componants do you have ? Are you considering other componants at this time?

Sorry about all of the questions, but your "setup" as posted is completely devoid of what is already a part of it.

You had? Or have? I'm assuming you have. Correct?

Yea, I don't think English is his primary language. If I'm mistaken then I am sorry.

I would mount your TV on the large wall in the first picture, to the left of the window. Position you seating area in front of the doorway going into the other room, seen in the second picture. Make sure to place the seats a couple feet away from that back wall so that you can place speakers behind you and so that you can walk around the seating area to go into the room behind it.

Twitch9's HT setup could give you a good idea of what to do. He doesn't have another room behind his seating area, but your proposed area is similar to his. Take a look.

Just imagine that space behind his couch is the opening to the other room, as seen in the second picture you posted.

It's hard to tell from your pics how one relates to the other. Looks like you may want to place your display on the long wall - but again hard to tell from the pics. Perhaps if you could create a floor plan type layout for us to look at we could tell you better.

A corner set-up there will work OK. Mine is angled like that - only where your room opening is to the right is a picture window with a projector screen that comes down over it for movietime.
