Default Negotiations of a Pioneer Elite

Hey Guys:
Just wanted to let everyone none about the Pioneer Elites at Best Buy. If you have the ability to make a deal with the Magnolia manager you can get a good deal on a Pioneer Elite 50 or 60 depending on their stock.

I have seen people walk away with a Pioneer as low as $2000 to 2200 for the 50 inch and $4000 to $4600 for the 60 inch. If you can talk and have a little respect for the manager in the Magnolia section of Best Buy, you will walk away with a Pioneer Elite for an excellent price

Best Buy by me has a 50 inch Elite open box and they want $3,195.00. I doubt they will go that low on a new one. I could be wrong.

This is off-topic but i just had to ask... ShockWave, you have a blu-ray player AND a PS3 in your main room? Connected to the same TV?......WHY?! Do you like to waste money?

I have the same thing. My reasons - DMP-BD35 bitstreams, slightly better DVD/BD quality. PS3 is a media center and gaming station. I use the BD35 for movies, the PS3 for music/games.

Aha, but is there a difference between the 350 and the PS3? I know there wasn't between the 300 and the PS3 and i gathered that the difference between the 350 and 300 was size and weight.

You have to give the PS3 a breather! Plus bit streaming is a nice feature, I like to see my AV's light up "Dolby TrueHD" & "DTS-HD Master Audio". There's no waste of money (if u have it).

I agree with your reasons, I always try to recommend a stand alone over a ps3 to someone who wont use it for gaming. I just have to save up before I make the plunge myself, then the ps3 would be for gaming only!!

Yes I have and I was sick to my stomach. God Bless the guy, I wish I was able to switch out my 55 inch Hitachi for a 60 inch elite, but they gave me a 50 Pioneer Elite as a replacement.

Really Guys,
The PS3 is a great media system, but when it comes to Blu-ray and PQ & AQ the Panasonic destroys the PS3. I'm waiting for the Oppo then my system will be complete.

I dont know about destroying, thats going a little to far there. the differences people talk of is not that big at all. your talking little details hear. and to see them they have to be side by side. the AQ is debatable also.

Anyway on topic. a guy got a 60" elite for $4000!!

Well im off to BB tomorrow then.

I'm not sure which way you took my post...? It wasn't a "PRO" ps3 responds, don't get your shorts in a twist. We know your panny 35 is WAY better than a game console.

How much cheaper do you think the Pro-151FD will be? I'm currently deployed but I will be back in the states next month. I'm just wondering how long I should wait(If I should).

With all do respect, I've done a PQ and AQ with regards to the Panasonic and PS3. There is a difference in AQ and there will be no debate!
