Default TV Mode Not Supported

I am so mad. I have been having bad customer service for my BDP-899 player. I was told that a PAL <---> NTSC converter was built-in. I bought the movie [REC] and it wouldn't work, even with the codes. It plays on the player, but it would just say "Mode Not Supported" on the television. I was told to change the resolution on the player to 1080P or 1080i, so I did and now the t.v. won't recognize my player. Whenever I turn the player on it says "Mode Not Supported" I am so MAD!!!! Not only will the disc not play on the T.V. now, it won't even show that it's connected on the screen!!!! WTF!

HELP

Look in the manual for the player, should be some way to reset it. I have the Samsung BDP1500 player and if you push and hold the fastforward button (or something like that, have never had to reset it!) for 5 seconds then it resets back to factory defaults.

Take it somewhere else so it will display on their TV and then set it back to 720p mode or whatever it was on before so it will connect on your screen again or try connecting via a different method such as component or SCART/composite so you can access the menus, change it back and then try again via hdmi

Tried that on my downstairs t.v. got the message "Mode Not Supported" again.

This is all that company's fault. I wouldn't be having all these problems if it weren't for those ********.
