To Serve and Protect/Favorite Cop Films - Blu-ray Forum

Usually what makes a Cop Film a Cop Film is when the lead character/characters are Cops but not always, see "The Usual Suspects." IMO this is still a Cop Film even though the main characters are anything but Cops. There have been truck loads of great Cop Films, some funny, some dramatic, some serious yet all if not most of them are entertaining.

The first Cop Film that comes to mind as one of my personal favorites is "Seven." Detectivvvvvvve!!!

The Usual Suspects IMO is a film which takes on more than one single genre. It takes place and revolves around a story told in a police station. Cops are trying to figure out and unscramble a mystery. Seems fair to say it is at least in theory a Cop Film, in part.

Super Troopers makes me want to be a cop. Even if 99% of it isnt real, the 1% would make it worth it.

Real cop stories... all the Die Hards. My Die Hard quadrilogy is easily one of my most watched movie sets.

Lethal Weapons also, I enjoyed them all.
