Default When Will the Samsung BD-P1600 Come out

Has There Been any News on this when Samsung will Drop the 1600 and Specs Pictures.

I want to re-buy the 1500 but have to wait for when the 1600 comes out so the price will drop.

Maybe they skipped it and went to the BD-P2500/2550?

No Sir

Samsung BD-P1600/3600

The BD-P1600 (bottom) and BD-P3600 (top). Both conform to BD-Live, though the 1600 needs a 1GB flash drive; the 3600 has 1GB built in. Both can also access Netflix content and support WiFi operation with an optional USB dongle. The 3600 also has 7.1 analog-audio outputs.

The BP1600 is scheduled to hit Best Buy's distribution warehouses on Feb 15. From there they will be shipped to the stores for sale.

Do you have any idea when the 3600 will hit the stores?

Anyone heard if they will make the WiFI USB available/workable on any existing hardware?

At Best Buy, the 1600 will be in the stores on March 8. The 3600 and 4600 are scheduled for April 19.

I'll likely pass on the 4600(as i have no need for a wall mountable unit and the design would stick out like a sore thumb next to my other gear)and pick up a BDP3600 and retire my BDP2500 to the bedroom.

We'll see how the money situation is when they ship.

I actually saw a stack of these tonight at my BB in Maryland. Surprised me. They are $299.

The packaging is red white and black if I remember correctly. The box is rather small too.

Default It's Arrived...

My wife hooked me up with this Blu-Ray for my b-day. She picked up it up from Best Buy yesterday. I'm searching the web for a lower price now, of course.

Default Samsung really does suck

I just bought a BD 1600 from BB. The guy at BB said it was wireless ready. Ready to go. I got home and noting worked. I called Samsung, they have no information on this product. They said they(support) would exculate to 3rd level and call back in 2 to 3 days. I went back to BB after reading the posts here, about a wireless adapter. I bought a Dynex wireless USB stick (BB recommended). And still nothing. I call SamSung back, this time when I was passed to 2nd level, and they guy told me that the 1600 does not support wireless. he told the guy at BB was wrong, when I read to him right off the box, he told me to hang on a sec, when he came back he told that this will be passed onto 3rd level and that they would get back to me within 2 or 3 days. Thier website does not have any information on this product either. Why would a company release a product with no Support line.

Once again
SamSung SUCKS

Samsung will sell it's own Wireless Dongle. It was written in the press release. The 3600 will have 1g and the wireless internaly and will cost 100 more than the 1600.

Basically with the 1600 they hit people who don't what wireless and BD-live. While you can update it (Buy USB Key with memory and the wireless dongle) it will end up costing you more than the 3600 i'am pretty sure.

The Dongle is not for sale yet..
