Any blu Recommendations??

So I just won a $100gc to amazon at work and I'm gonna cash in on some new blus...any must own title in your opinion? I already own 148 movies, I havent uploaded all my collection to my profile.

So any ideas on what to get?

still have like $10 bucks left, ill use that on some other new release later.

Of course I could do that, but is there any must have titles out there even if its worth spending a little more?

WEll....not to sound like a smart a$$, but its all about preference. This site is a kick butt resource for all things blu...read the reviews and make some decisions. What I may like, you may hate and vice versa...whether it be a great title or not.

I am lacking in comedy movies, and I love action movies, and comic book movies.

I differ from the opinion of some of the posters here in as much as this:

with a gift card, I generally will buy a higher ticket item that I would normally think twice about.
I am not going to think twice about buying 4 or 5 $10 movies, but will think hard about dropping $50 on one movie.
Same amount, different acceptance levels.

As for suggestions:

Watchmen and Sin City will take care of 2 of the 3 likes listed there.

Apocalypto if you already dont have it great to show off the visual aspec of blu rays.

Agreed. I would highly consider picking up a TV show on BD, or more expensive set. Dexter for example, absolutely fantastic show. Frankly, with $100 gift card, you can pick up all 3 released seasons of it right now for $92.99 right now. Best purchase you could make with that gift card, PQ is fantastic, and the show fantastically well done.

Pick up Fight Club if you have never seen it. One of the most surprising movies you will see, in a spectacular Blu-ray packed full of extras.

i dont think of gift cards as "spend anything you like", i look at it as opportunity cost. you could spend $10 in cash for say... die hard or sth. or you can utilize the gc to pay for that.

but why spend gc as you would 'free $' when you should think of it as "cash". like what you're gonna spend anyways but more wisely that'll maximize your gc more.

i had a 50 BB GC, did i go crazy on retail prices? nope. i bought cast away for $10ish. still have 39ish left. =).

Go check out the Amazon blu section, and you can access blus by price, so you can get more bang for your buck.
