Game Recommendations: BB Sale. Opinions needed! - Blu-ray Forum

Best Buy has a sale on PS3 games for $9.99, with all sorts of titles (check out the Hot Deals forum) - and was wondering which one of these you fine lads would recommend:

Which of these is any good? I cut down the list based on what I read on Wikipedia. I could use some new video games, and at $10, this is hard to pass up. Eventually, playing Resistance and Medal of Honor:Airborne over and over again will get tiring for me. Despite the fact that I love RFOM, R2, and MoH:A. I'm growing to like that Jericho game the more I read about it.

I'd say go with Lost Planet and Soul Calibur 4. Just My Two Cents though

How is Soul Caliber? Is it a pure fighting game, a la - old school Tekken and whatnot?

Soul Caliber is somewhere between MK and Tekken. There are a lot of purely martial arts moves, but there are also special skills which come into play. It's faithful to the previous iterations of the series.

Soul Caliber def!! Bourne is cool too. QOS is fun but short, very short!!

Well i would get Qauntum of Solace and Soul Calibur 4

FWIW, I just opened my copy of Lost Planet this week and I thought the game was really annoying. I hate the constant "knock downs". Really stupid. I forced my way up to about Level/Chapter 6 and gave up and decided to sell it. I can't even finish the game for the storyline.

I also didn't like SC4 but then again I don't like fighting games in general.

I know there's a demo of Jericho and Bourne on the ps store somewhere. May want to try that before buying. The Bourne demo was pretty good imo.

Lost Planet was alright, I would get it just for the online multiplayer though. The storyline is lame, and there's a lot of invisible walls in it that can annoy the hell out of you.
This game is huge in Japan and if you go online be prepared to get your ass kicked by these guys and gals. Plus it's funny to see all the different outfits they're coming up with. A guy that was on my team was running around in purple underwear, completely hilarious.
I am looking forward to Lost Planet 2 though.

The Bourne game was fun, but I don't know about the replay value and it's short.
Haven't played Quantum.
Didn't really like SoulCalibur, but fighting games aren't my thing.

I picked them all up. $10 was too good a price. So far I've played Jericho and it sucks. It's bland and the lame enemies rush you like crazy and kill you in two hits. Your group has crappy AI and become liabilities because you have to save them all the time. I'd rather have my $10 back for that one.

I didn't plan on picking it up until I was there. I also don't trust demos. I hated the RE5 demo and swore I would not buy that game. I bought it and ended up absolutely loving it!

I looked over that list last Sunday, like...forever. Took me a while to make up my mind, plus my local Best Buy is a small one, so..you know....less to choose from. So I purchased Lost Planet and Quantum of Solace. I might go back b4 the sale is over to get Overlord.

SC4 is the best pick! it is on my top 5 fighters of all time! amazing game! 007 is ok, lost planet runs better on sexbox.
