Default No DTS sound from PS3 to Panasonic SA-PT660

My brother has the Panasonic mentioned in the title connected to the PS3 via Optical set to Bitstream. Then this morning he went to play Killzone 2 and no DTS sound comes out, we tried a DVD on the PS3, put the DTS track and no sound either. Did some research on the net and found that this HTIB does decode movies on its own player, but no DTS from an outside source. If this is true I think it is really dumb. Has anyone encountered this problem before?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks
He fixed it, just unchecked DTS on the sound settings on the PS3 and now we get DD on the games. It looks like it is a limitation on the Panny. Oh well it's better than nothing.

For some reason with mine to my HTIB with DTS I have a sound delay, in Dolby I don't. It's kind of weird
