USA Old guy needs help!

Hi, I'm sorta old and don't understand a lot of this video stuff. I have a new BD-P1600 Samsung Blu-ray player and I'm trying to view DVDs (the 3" ones) from my Sony Handy Cam DVD Video Camera. I've tried converting to numerous formats and nada. What I'm doing is converting them, putting them on a flash drive and using the USB port on the 1600. I select USB in the menu then video and it says "No Program Found." Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I thought when I bought the Video Camera I would be able to take the DVD's out of the camera and put them in the DVD players to view them. Seems I can't do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey, I am from Syracuse originally, just thought I'd give a shout out!
Some DVD players can play those small DVDs, you just have to look in the tray and see if there is an indentation made for the smaller discs. I'm not sure if the problem using the USB stick is with the video format, but do you have a DVD-burner in your computer? I would say the easiest thing to do would be to just re-burn the camcorder discs as full size DVDs and you won't have to worry about this. That's the best advice I can give.

have you tried a mini dvd-dvd adapter?

...not sure if this particular item will be the right size for you, but im sure there is a way to play in your dvd player.

You can only play DVD-R's (and CD-R's) that have been finalized (or at least that's the way it is with my BD-P2500).
