Sure in one’s opinion.
Ice cream is widely accepted as being yummy, but it’s not a fact.

Thanks I think I posted the wrong term I meant from what I heard is even though it's Region B it should play in most US blu ray players.

No, because most US Blu-ray players are locked to region A.

You would need a region B, or region free player. Unless you are getting the 4k release. UHD's aren't region locked.

Recognizing that ice cream is widely accepted as yummy while still not achieving universal status, is the same as recognizing that a specific film is accepted as a classic without universal consensus being sufficient. You’ve just articulated my initial argument for me. (Sorry I got dragged back in &#128556

But there is no objective fact there.
Never will be!

Blu-ray set: 4 Blu-ray discs B-locked + 3 CDs
UHD-Set: 3 UHD Blu-rays Region free + 1 extras Blu-ray disc B-locked + 3 CDs

Any speculation on the Blu-rays actually working on A-locked players is just that: pure speculation. Once the sets are released we all will be wiser and maybe the region lock will be bypassed. But that is highly doubtful as Mr. Rubinstein surely would insist on region locking so he can sell the rights to other territories.

It’s not a fact. I don’t think ice cream is yummy. Therefore..not a fact.
Fact is 100%, across the board, ground in science.
You can think “widely accepted equals fact, but I know it doesn’t.

A lot of people thought certain monstrosities were a good thing, a long time ago. Nowadays not so much. You can just read American history to know what I’m talking about.
Just because a lot of people think something, doesn’t make it so. Lol!
Classic has always been subjective and it always will be. Now that’s a fact!

A lot of pedantic bs these days. One persons opinion on a classic is irrelevant, the majoritys opinion is by definition

Tell that to Richard W, the user who started this debate.

Movies are made to be watched. FACT.
Many movies are considered to be classics by a lot of people. OPINION.

Because arguing its an opinion or a fact is dumb. A classic is a label that the majority decides, this is like arguing if an album is rock n roll or not, when the matter is already decided for you. Its pendantic, like arguing with history books because your opinion differs. If you consider everything an opinion then you are disputing any or all facts, like flat earthers do. Debate on the internet for trolling sake. DotD is a classic.
